DataAdapter(DA) is intended for the operations of import-export and data transformation between different data sources. DA is intended to be used by a wide range of users including, but not limited to, computing professionals, database professionals, and software developers. It is a unique dual purpose product allowing end-users with little or no database knowledge transform data from one source to another, while also being powerful enough for DBA`s to create large intricate transformations, and gives the ability to software developers to embed the pump engine into their existing applications to be used as an advanced data transformation engine. DA currently supports the following data sources: MS SQL, MySql, DBF, Excel, MS Access, CSV, XML, Firebird. DA is very flexible and makes it possible to insert or to update the existing records in the export data table. DA also makes it possible to use foreign tables within the export tables. This enables the export engine to simultaneously insert data into the primary export table(s) and into the foreign table(s) while retaining the dependencies and integrity of the incoming data. The convenient and intuitive interface of DA will help to reduce development time the ongoing maintenance of the import-export operations. The use of VBScript makes it possible to simplify the conversion of the types and the transformation of data. - validation scripts make it possible to filter both the incoming flow of data and emanating - converter scripts give the flexibility of converting to and from different data types on the fly during import-export operations. - transformation scripts make it possible to perform advanced data processing on individual table fields and rows during the data conversion process. You can parse data, perform advanced validations and calculations, etc. The ability to save scripts and configurations of operations are very useful and helps to reduce frequently repetitive tasks often encountered when performing import-export operations. |
